Hot TopicsInternational DayOn Saturday 10th March the club will be having its annual International Rugby Day when Scotland take on Ireland. There will be a 2 course meal at 4pm sharp, rugby at 5pm, followed by a disco.Tickets are priced at £10 - please give your name and deposit to Tef (booking essential). The main hall will be reserved for the function only, members wishing to watch the rugby will have access to the front lounge. Thank You. SubsAn extra Sunday has been added for the collection of 2012 subs. The club will now be open on Sunday 5th February from 12:00 - 14:00. Can members please make every effort to ensure their subs for the coming season are paid by this date.Thank you HGC Committee Haggis EatingThe entertainment for the Haggis Eating on Friday 24th Feb has now been confirmed and is as follows:Entertainers - Chappy, Scotty, Graeme Tinlin, Drew Gibb & Roddy McIntyre on pipes. Plus usual guests from the floor! Speakers - Gordon Jackson MBE and Jammy McFarlene. 7 for 7:30 start, names to Club Steward. Ticket price to be confirmed. Winter GolfRULE CHANGE FOR OUR WINTER GOLFERS.BLUE FLAG OUT - ALL MAIN GREENS CLOSED PLEASE PLAY TO WINTER GREENS. SUBJECT TO CHANGE THROUGHOUT THE DAY DEPENDING ON WEATHER CONDITIONS. This change has been implemented as some still play to the greens when they are unplayable. The BLUE FLAG is used so we all play the same course, any decision made is for the best of our course and greens, the greens may not be white with frost but still hard under the surface or they may well be saturated, so the BLUE FLAG will then be used. Kenny will lift the BLUE FLAG if weather conditions have improved, he may need to bring out the BLUE FLAG if the weather conditions deteriorate. We will be closing some greens for the remainder of the season there should be no more than 5 closed at any one time and the closing of greens will be rotated, this is due to certain greens in need of treatment or rest. Greens 2, 3, 7, 10 and 17 will be closed please check information board for these changing. Thanks for your co-operation H.G.C. Club HistoryWe are looking to expand the club history section of the website and are looking for some information from any members with regards to the trophies we currently play for. The information we require is the origin of the trophy, year it was first played for and the original format of the competition.
