In 2008 our club President George Rennie very kindly donated a new Trophy to our ladies section which will be played for each year on Captains prize day and is for the best net score on the day. Hawick Ladies Double CelebrationJUDITH ANDERSON may be the new manager of the Scottish Ladies Golf team, but at The Roxburghe last Sunday, she also proved she is still the boss on the local scene.Hawick Golf Club member, Judith, lifted the County Championship for a record equalling seventh time, to equal the record set by former County player Sharon McMaster, when she beat Wendy Wells from Peebles 6 & 4 in the final. The Roxburghe Championships proved to be a double celebration of Hawick golf, when former Hawick Ladies captain, ANNE TEAGUE, lifted the B Championship after a nailbiting final against Sarah Bolton, from Hirsel. But it was Anne who held her nerve to secure the Championship on the final green. Congratulations to both Ladies.
